About me

I have exhibited in several museums and galleries in Brazil and Germany.

I was born in Recife, Brazil. My childhood in Brazil was wonderful. I was the fourth of six children. We grew up in a big house in Recife, a big city in the northeast of Brazil.

My family is very musical. On weekends my uncles would come to our house to play the drums. They placed themselves in a samba circle. The children and women danced in the middle and sang. It was magical.

Over the years Germany has become my second home. You can see this by looking at my flat in Eltershofen. Like me, it has elements from both cultures. For example, instead of a sofa, I have a hammock. When it gets cold I lay a sheep’s skin inside it. I like the German mentality and I have many friends here.

Every year in February, I fly to Brazil. I have to be there for Carnival. In Brazil I always feel at home, even though I have lived abroad for many years. That’s where my roots are. That won’t ever change.
